Stuck?! Sketch Reveal-final Stuck?! Sketch layout

So it is with a heavy heart that I share my last Stuck?! sketch layout...

BUT what better way to close my term with them then to do it with a sketch created by ME!! Yup my very first sketch!!

Check this baby out!
Yup--I created that! Took me FOREVER too lol...trying to figure out Photoshop to try to add all the layers--oh BIG HEADACHE! lol but I loved the result.

And here is the layout that I created to represent it. =)

Chalk full of Prima, of course!

For the Dusty Attic{Wrought Iron Trim, DA0547), I inked it brown first then dabbed turquoise paint lightly over some areas.

Scrap That! & The Color Room #58

This month as part of Scrap That!'s 1 year anniversary, the kit club has joined hands with The Color Room. TCR has kindly made color palettes that coordinate with Scrap That!'s May kit.

This week I got to play along with TCR #58-Sun Room.

Loved the soft colors in this... perfect for the project I wanted to work on.

I made the layout below for a gal I work with, she is pregnant and soooo ready to pop- in 2 wks as a matter of fact. One of the other gals at work did a mini shoot for her, so I just edited a few pictures and made her this layout as a gift.

The papers are Prima "Botanical".

Here is a closeup of the blooms that came with the kit.

The Dusty Attic "French Flourish" {DA0273} is from my stash, I did however alter it with the Blue Smoke Perfect Pealrs Mist that came with the kit.

Stuck?! Sketch Reveal--May 1st

Its May! May 1st! Which means 2 things...first, the reveal of the 1st Stuck?! Sketch, second....we leave Thursday for a very exciting family vacation to St. Mary's, Georgia! We are going to check the place out and if it's what everyone makes it out to be and we fall in love then we will start the planning to move! EXCITING! And we're going to Cumberland Island too! Ahh!! Wild horses on the beach!! Holy smokes Thursday will not come fast enough!

Ok so onto the sketch=)

Featuring Prima "Botanical" papers and gorgeous Prima blooms!

This sketch was my fave to date, it allowed me to design outside of my comfort zone. LOVE IT! Thanks Julie!

I have been doing alot more misting lately, I figured, I have an immense Glimmer Mist collection..so um use it dummy!! So I have been =) I misted the background paper to this layout using Frost & Olive Vine.

A quick closeup of the blooms and my latest addiction...crinkled seam binding! Love that stuff!

Stuck?! Sketch Reveal--April 15th

Halfway thru the month! Woohoo...almost time for my birthday too..double woohoo!

It's that time yet again..here is the April 15th Stuck?! Sketch..

And my layout for it. The papers featured are Prima's newly released "Botanical" collection. I simply flipped it upside down. You will see lots of Dusty Attic in my upcoming layouts....there's a NEWLY STOCKED Etsy in town that is selling DUSTY ATTIC..check out Vicky's shop HERE!

I wanted to incorporate a little bit of green, so I misted over a Prima mask in the top corner. Then placed my bling swirl over the misted design.

I love the subtle gears and sprocket designs on the papers in this line...beautiful!

WOW that was a rather short and quick post huh...hmmmm must be from exhaustion. Work was busy...busy...go go go!

And I am now feeling it.

Forever Mine

So as alot you that follow my blog, have come to see that most of my layouts showcase my daughter...well I thought that this weekend, I would take some time to create a layout that showcased my son and I using a photo I took of us recently. The look on his face was perfect for this shot of a sweet kiss on his cheek.

This little boy has my heart, a sweet little guy that gently squeezes me when he hugs me, the one that tells people in public "This is MY mommy", the one that will randomly hold my hand, the one that tells me randomly several times thru out the day ..."Mommy I wuv you.", the one who always knows when even the slightest thing is wrong with me... This little guy has heart...and I am thankful to have had him and to know that he will forever be mine.

So I thought the least I could do, was make a memory for him in a layout so he knows..he's mommy's boy forever.

The papers featured are Prima "Moulin Rouge",

I was aiming for more vintage colors so these papers were perfect. I kept my choice of papers simple though, using a patterned paper as my 2 background papers, but my main background paper was just a cream cardstock which I altered with a mask and some Glimmer Mists.

I wanted to create my own "die cut" paper so I used the Fiskars "Effervecence" border punch all the way around the paper. Loved the end result.

I needed perfect coordinating blooms for this color scheme, which was quite tricky, being I only had one blue flower left, so I made my own matching blooms(the paper ones that is)! To find my tutorial on how to make this flowers, click HERE. I simply used a scalloped circle and medium 6-petal flower punch.

Stuck?! Sketch Reveal--April 1st

So finally I can reveal my April 1st Stuck?! Sketch...I know I know! 5 days late...we're doing it differently now, revealing the CT's creations in 2 parts since there are so many of us.

Anyway, so it's April!...my birthday is this month...the 26th and I turn 26..WOW BUDDY! I can say that I am very pleased with everything in my life for being a 26 yr old, I have a wonderful family, surrounded by an amazing (SMALL BUT SOOOO AMAZING) circle of friends. My marriage is stronger than ever, my kids are growing up to be such well mannered chitlins..I am stoked with my job and love every minute it. I don't think I can ask for anymore for being my age. LOVE IT! Plus I got a sucker husband that is so0o willing to support this crazy hobby of mine;p heehee.

Ok so nuff rambling..here is the sketch:

The photo is of my daughter who is sooo hooked on her Nintendo DS. She sleeps, breathes, eats this DS..oh and misses the school bus in the morning for this DS! Crazy! lol...Of course we have learned to set some strict rules for this little toy.

Prima cards

Just dropping in to share 2 cards that I created-can you tell I have been on a card making kick. Lovin't it, now just need to start sending these babies out lol instead of hoarding them.

Both cards feature Prima papers from their latest release. This first card features the paper from Celebrate Jack & Jill, "Up, Up & Away".
I accented the edges of the folk heart with Tattered Rose crackle paint to add some texture.

Delight----**NEW Prima**

So I am slowly but surely getting to play with all my new Prima goodies.

The picture is of my sweet kiddies.

Absolutely love the new iron on titles--very easy to apply. Also gives the page a great texture too.

Love You----*NEW* Prima

So I finally made some time to play with my **NEW** Prima goodies. I was so quick to order qlot of the new stuff as soon as it released, but as always...it usually sits for a while before I get around to playing with it...Well truthfully I made a handful of layouts with my new goods..just can't quite share them all with you.

But I can share THIS one=)

The papers are from "Celebrate Jack & Jill"...super cute papers might I add.

Absolutely loving the Matriarch collection of flowers. So delicate and feminine.

For the butterflies, I used one of Primas mini stamp sets, used a cream chalk ink and stamped the fluttering butteflies scattered throughout the layout.

Well that's it for tonight, short and sweet!

Oh oh oh! **NEWS**..So on the 16th is the 1 year anniversary of my blog! Yup ONE year!! And for that reason I am feeling a lil' generous...meaning...I will have a GIVEAWAY!!
