Here is my first layout.

The papers in this kit are beautiful, shabby chic and soooo gorgeous, from PION Design.

Here is a closeup, beautiful pearl swirl bling, included in the kit.

As for my 2nd layout(my fave). Lots of layers and flowers. The photo is of my husband and I during our engagament photo session. Love this picture!

We also received a bottle of silver liquid pearls, that stuff is amazing! Great, quick way to add dimension to your layout.

Check out the gorgeous Dusty Attic Music border{DA0351} that comes in the kit.
As well as the beautiful Prima blooms! Who isnt a sucker for Prima blooms?!

Lastly, I created a card using my scraps. I had made a 3rd layout, but are you ready for this?! READY????...my dog ate it! No seriously, my stinkin' dog demolished my project which the cats mustve knocked off the table. =( Never thought I would use that excuse as an adult..but my time has come. lol So it left me to create a card in place of the layout. =)

Stuck?! Sketch Reveal-final Stuck?! Sketch layout

So it is with a heavy heart that I share my last Stuck?! sketch layout...

BUT what better way to close my term with them then to do it with a sketch created by ME!! Yup my very first sketch!!

Check this baby out!
Yup--I created that! Took me FOREVER too lol...trying to figure out Photoshop to try to add all the layers--oh BIG HEADACHE! lol but I loved the result.

And here is the layout that I created to represent it. =)
Chalk full of Prima, of course!

For the Dusty Attic{Wrought Iron Trim, DA0547), I inked it brown first then dabbed turquoise paint lightly over some areas.

Be sure to check the Stuck?! blog, they just announced their new Creative Team!

Lastly, I'd like to say thank you to Sara(creator of Stuck?! for giving the great opportunity to create with ur sketches for 2 terms. Its been an amazing adventure!

♥ Karen.

Altered Jewelry Box

Let's start off by saying that- I am NOT a big person on altering items. Especially drastic alterations-I'd rather sit there and cut papers with my "little scissors"(as my co-worker would tease me about.) Well a few days ago, I decided hmmm I am going to buy an undressed small jewelry box to keep on the dresser, where I can keep my wedding rings and watch, which I use EVERYDAY. So i went to work on it...

And after hrs....of playing with this little round box...I stepped back and said "ok here she is!!"...
Ready...?

Here she is!!!..
I used Bo Bunny's Timepiece collection.
I embellished the lid with a few things, metal touches, softness from a Prima flower and some beautiful Dusty Attic wings(Wings #2, DA0500).

I must admit that I am very pleased with this little treasure of a box..hmmm maybe I will alter something else this wkened!

Well that is all.
Dinner then movie time!Goodnight!
See you next time ♥

Life's a Beach--{IOD}

So I was a very happy girl the other day-when I opened the door and found a box-with MY name it. Thought to myself..hmmm I haven't ordered anything. Oh wait!! It's from Sally and Creative Imaginations...meaning IOD!!

So I got to work on some stuff today!
This layout features IOD's Beach Cottage collection, this is one of the most beautiful beach themed collections I have seen.
Lots of paper layering on this. And used fish netting for the 1st time...loved it!!

The picture was taken at Flagler Beach in Florida..so wish we were there right now!! Soon enough though... :p

I used lots of heavenly Dusty Attic on this layout. I altered the {Foliage, DA0506} with Olive Vine glimmer mist. So sparkly..so lovely.

For the title{Life's a Beach, DA0560}, I painted it with cream acrylic, then inked the lower portion with aqua and brown ink.

Ok, time to fill out the thousands of papers Nikki brought home from school today. Yay...NOT!

Tomorrow I shall be back to share an altered project with you, something I RARELY do, safe to say I do those projects like once in a blue moon, well today must've been that blue moon. =)
See you tomorrow.
Goodnight. ♥

Stuck?! Sketch Reveal-Bonus Sketch #1

Hey everybody!
I have a layout to share with you.

Its designed based on a sketch created by Stuck?! Sketches. This layout is 1 of my last 2 as part of their design team, I have had a blast creating on the team for 2 terms and I decided that maybe it was time to venture and do different things. =)

So here's the sketch:

Here's my layout. Featuring Prima -Surprise surprise there, right? lol. Moulin Rouge to be exact...love the dark, dusty colors in the line.

Here is a closeup of the largest bloom which originally a purple hue, but wanted a bloom that was more plum-ish/cranberry-ish in color. So what I did was, seperated the top portion of the flower and glimmer misted the larger flower then re-adhered the top smaller flower. Worked perfect, because I got the color I wanted.

That is all project-wise. Be sure to stop by Stuck?! to check out the other gals layouts using this sketch. Few more days and I will reveal my last Stuck?! layout.

Well that is it for now-I shall be back this evening...to share an IOD layout with you! ;)

See you later!

Fisrt Day of 2nd Grade

Ok ok! So today was the first day of 2nd grade for my daughter-jeez she looked so grown up this morning. She was a bit hesitant about 2nd grade-worried that it would be much harder then 1st. BUT she did say she was excited about her new wardrobe-kid has more cute outfits then she'll know what to do with!

Here she was this morning, right before we loaded up and headed to school. She's such a beautiful, perfect-in-every-way little girl, with that dimple that just melts your heart.

Can't wait to hear all about her day, in a bit. ♥
