Today I am going to share with you my projects created with the March "Secret Garden" kit, the DT has been raving about this kit since we first got them. Its jammed featuring the Graphic45 Once Upon a Springtime collection along with papers from Basic Grey Curio collection paired with the most beautiful embellishments.

This first layout is of my daughter when she was 5 months old. The colors in these papers were perfect for this picture. Lots of fussy cutting to be done with these papers, its great! For the pleated scalloped border on my circle, you can find my tutorial HERE. Very easy to do.

Closeup on the gorgeous Prima flowers in this kit, along with the fussy cutting of the blooms from one of the papers. I accented the stamen part of the paper-cut flowers with Diamon Stickles just to give them alittle sparkle.

We received a very neat technique item in this kit--a bottle of Smooch. I have never tried it but have always heard great things, let me tell you gives you a nice pearlized result. I altered this butterfly chippie with it.

Also used the Smooch on the rabbits apron(you can really see the pearl finish here.)

For my 2nd layout, is another layout of my daughter, this is a recent picture, having been taken early this month. She's so grown now!

Here I accented the fairies with some Stickles, its a great way to add just the right touch of sparkle to any project.

So I got a new deep edge Martha Stewart punch, its called "Vine Trim". Here's a look at it, used it as the vines to my flowers. For the mini roses, I simply made the bottom layer petals, and added the mini roses as the center(which I pulled off the Prima bling swirl we got in the kit).

For my 3rd layout, the picture is of my in-laws on there wedding day. My mother in law was just 20 yrs old in this picture, she's now 53. Of course I'm not parting with this layout. Its going in a shadow box for me to keep for myself. :p
When I saw some of the G45 papers were more peach-toned, I knew I could FINALLY scrap this picture! I was ecstatic, not to mention the Prima blooms in the kits were a perfect match for these particular papers.

Just to show you this kit was packed with papers and embellishments, I was able to create another FULLY LOADED layout.
This one is from MY wedding day in 2009. =)
This layout is a mix of the Graphic 45 papers along with the BG Curio papers.

Fussy cut the Curio flowers along with accenting them with the Distress Stickles we received in the kit.

Ok thats it from me.
Before you hop on over to Janis's blog next, you will need to leave a comment here and become a follower of my blog, also you'll want my secret word, which is 'SCRAP THAT!'.
Now you can head over to Janis's lovely blog for more amazing creations using the Scrap That! "Secret Garden" kit.

Happy Anniversary Card--Graphic 45

Just a quick post to share a card I made today, using Graphic 45's gorgeous & romantic Le Romantique. Perfect for wedding you'll see I made an anniversary card using these beautiful papers.

I used a Pink Paislee Artisan frame to frame the couple I cut from one of the papers. I lightly misted the frame with Patina Glimmer Mist to better match the color scheme I was working with.

Well that is all for now...I have been a busy bee creating.
Stay tuned, I'll have a sneak peek collage of Scrap That!'s March kit, absolutely divine, featuring one of my fave manufacturers!! :p

Stuck?! Sketch Reveal--Februay 15th

Time to share another Stuck?! Sketch, that of February 15th! This time I wanted to create a more masculine layout. Its of my son, Jayden, he is 2 in the picture. I just love how my little poses for me so easily(at time), such an easy subject to photo. Just love this little man to pieces.

The sketch:

My take:
Evrything on this layout is from the BoBunny collection "Cambridge".
Just love this collection for boy pictures, the papers are designed to appear so textured. LOVE IT!

Here are a few closeups:
For the Tim Holtz alphas, I simply inked them with Walnut Stain Distress Ink and finished them off with Glossy Accents to add dimension.

Here are some of the Cambridge chipboard pieces.

Take a minute to stop by Stuck?! as she introduces the new gals as well as returning to the Creative Team! Lovin' the fresh new faces we have to bring new styles of scrapbooking.

Well..til next time...Night!

IOD Night Divine & **NEWLY RELEASED STAMPS** Plus a tutorial

So I have been absolutely loving my IOD/Unity is a layout in which I used touches of the Provencial Collection "My Dear" stamp set.
The papers are from IOD "Night Divine".

**In this post I will also be sharing a tutorial on how to make the pleated scalloped border on the circle...VERY EASY to do!

I handmade all the flowers to coordinate to the layout..lately I have been very stuck on making flowers...such an easy way to quickly match your blooms to your project. The centers are from IOD.

Here are a few closeups on the stamping...I am alway son the lookout for script stamps, I was ecstatic to see it be a part of this set.

Here is a shot at the postage stamp.
Products Used: Papers: Night Divine(#26917),(#26916),(#26920),(#26919),(#26927); Cardstock stickers(#26923);Epoxy stickers(#26924); Brads:Loolah(#26501);Rhinestones/Pearls: Loolah(#26500); Stamps: Provencial Collections "My Dear"(IOD783-A)

Pleated/Scalloped Circle Border Tutorial
*Scalloped border punch
*Hot glue
1. Cut your 12 inch long strips..for a 10 inch circle, you need four 12 inch strips, punch them with your desired border punch.

2. Cut the strip apart in 2 scalloped sections. (as shown below)

3. Fold each section in half, creating the "pleat". (as shown above)

4. This is what they should look like...

5. Place a dab of hot glue on the bottom of it...

6. ..and adhere to the back of your circle. Adhere all your scalloped sections.

7. This is what your circle will look like once you are finished.

Well I hope you find inspiration within my tutorial. It's truly a quick and easy way to make a pleated/scalloped border on your circle. If you decide to try it out, I'd love to see your link back to me! =)

Also, be sure to stop by Unity Stamp Co to check out IOD's beautiful stamps!
