Scrap That! February Kit Reveal

Its that time again! The 26th, brings not only a new day but that of which includes Reveal day for the Scrap That! Feb. Kit "Love Notes". This beautiful kit features the beautiful Glitz paper collection "Love Nest" along with a few of Fancy Pants "Lilac House".

As for my first layout, these papers are Glitz "Love Nest". Also included in the kit, was a sheet of music note paper(great touch for vintage projects.)

Check out the gorgeous stamp we received in the kit!!

I made this 2nd layout using the Fancy Pants "Lilac House" papers.

The cream roses are handmade by our very own fellow DT member, Vicky Alberto. The bling(which also came in the kit), I cut it 2 pieces, to arrange around the flower cluster.

Lastly, here is the card that I put together with my leftover Glitz papers.

Be sure to stop by Scrap That! to get your February kit before it sells out!

IOD**Wild Spirit**2011 CHA RELEASE

Here's a look at one of the collections that is being released at Winter CHA 2011 from IOD! It's called "Wild Spirit". Gorgeous western themed with the IOD twist.

Keep a close eye on the Creative Imaginations blog, as you will be seeing more releases from IOD!

Travel**Teresa Collins Travel Ledger

Here's a layout of Nik on the plane on our to El Salvador this last summer. My mother's side of the family lives there so Nikki got to meet them all for the first time! She brought so much to entertain her on the plane, as you can tell by this picture, she is pretty focused.

This layout features the Teresa Collins "Travel Ledger" collection, which was perfect for this layout and the direction I wanted it to go in. When I saw the transperency with the globe on it, I knew these were the papers for this picture.

Here are a few closeups:

If you look closely on the tag, I circled something...it says EL SALVADOR!! How awesome was that, to have this precise part of the world be on this tag! I was ecstatic!

Well thank you for looking!
Hope you all have a great night!

Stuck?! Sketch Reveal--January 15th

It's January 15th!! And I just took down my christmas decorations...lol talk about being the worst procrastinator! I was dreading it soo bad. Well the outdoor xmas lights are still up and my wreath is still on the door...so still not done. Next weekend maybe lol...

Ok so onto the January 15th sketch courtesy of Stuck?!

Here is my take.
I loved this sketch, by looking at it you could easily keep it simple or dress it up, like I did.
Love the contrast from the B&W picture on the light color scheme, really lets it stand out against everything else.

I glimmer misted the doiley with a few colors, mostly Patina, touch of Turquoise Blue and topped it off with Pearl. So sparkly pretty.

I hope you take some time to stop by Stuck?! to check out what the other gals did with this sketch.
Til next time....

Stuck?! Sketch Reveal using IOD--January 1st

So it's 2011!!! 2011!!! Another whole year has passed! My son turns 3 in February!! This is nuts! 2011!!! Ah!!!

A new month brings a new sketch courtesy of Stuck?! Here is the January 1st sketch.

Here is my take on it.
Papers are from IOD's Loolah collection. This is a picture of Nik 2 years ago in Idaho during our summer vacation. She was trying to catch a little frog, no success though.

The sketch was a more simplistic design, which is different from my usual style but I must admit I liked keeping it simple for a change.

Check out the CT's takes on this sketch HERE!

Beautiful Butterflies

Scrap That! is always on the lookout for unique, one-of-a-kind or handmade items to include in their kits. Scrap That! also LOVES to support Etsy artisans. The gorgeous butterflies found in the "Don't Stop the Carnival" kit were all handmade by Kaye's Kreative Korner.

We loved these butterflies so much that Scrap That! has been working with Kaye to come up with a different design to coordinate with an upcoming kit. You can expect more of these gorgeous butterflies to flutter by one your pages soon!

You'll find one small, one medium and one large butterfly in each kit. Each one is painstakingly cut, crafted and glittered. They add such wonderful dimension and pop to projects as you can see from the Scrap That! DT's projects below.
