Prima heaven...

Prima has to be the next closest thing to heaven!! Seriously! They're stuff is gorgeous, especially all their Winter 2010 releases! And I finally got my sticky little fingers on some of it!

My 2 kiddies at Fain Lake back in Feb of this yr. I caught this moment and it was just so sweet.

All papers are from Prima "Flights of Fancy". I distressed and inked all edges. I used one of my Martha Stewart border punches behind my "v" tears. I laced twine thru one of them, let me tell you...not so easy to pull that stuff thru. But I did it!

The butterflies I cut out from of the papers and stickled them to give them more dimension.

One of the papers I bought had a very pretty swirl along one of the edges, I thought hmmm I'll cut it out and use it along side my photo.

Thanks so much for visiting!

The NEW Teresa Collins Chic Bebe Girl Collection

As soon as my LSS got the new Teresa Collins "Chic Bebe Girl" collection, I knew which picture I'd be using with it. It's such an adorable line! Love the pink and black combo.

My daughter is just a day old in this photo. She was so tiny..where does the time go?!

The flower was made by myself using fabric. You can find the tutorial HERE.

Instead of using cardstock to mat my photo, I stamped all around it with the Autumn Leaves "On the Edge" clear stamps. For the circle, I matted it on black cardstock, cut it with scallop design scissors and hole punched all the way around.

Thank you for stopping by. Hope you all have a great weekend!

A little winter fun

I have hardly been scrappin lately, not that it's a scrappers block, just don't seem to make time for it here in the last month. But last night I was DETERMINED to create a layout. Here's my daughter Nicole playing in the snow in our front yard, photo was taken in January of this yr. School had been cancelled as a snow day, we only got about 3 inches, but you know what thats 3 inches to play in! She had a blast!

All the paper used on this layout are from the beautiful My Minds Eye 29th St. Market "Adorable" collection.

Did alittle sewing on the corners. Also I distressed and stickled all edges of the blue paper. Covered all chipboard snowflakes with baby blue loose glitter. Love that stuff!

I wanted the title to stand out, didn't want it to match perfectly, therefore I glimmer misted it w/ one of my faves, Graphite. So pretty and shimmery.

So, ever come across the problem that you don't have matching pearls? Use 3-d fabric paint! To get the rounded effect instead of pointy drops, once you have made your round "pearl", don't bring up your bottle, just circle your tip around your "pearl" and it'll round off the top!

Hope you all had a great day!

My very first blog followed by my very first post!

Ok so I caved! After receiving a message saying I should create a blog to show my work, I said hmmm I had been considering it. I went to bed and literally slept on it. And this morning did it! Thank you Vicky{SimplyPaper} for the push=)

So I have noticed that MAKING flowers is taking the scrapbooking world by storm. And I have been dabbling my feet in it, and it's so much fun! I created this beauty last night out of fabric.

My very FIRST fabric bloom!
It was quite easy too! I followed a tutorial I found online and I just embellished the center with pearls...{my newest addiction}. Here's the link....Fabric Bloom Tutorial
