And I will bury my soul in a scrapbook, with the photographs there and the moths.

Scrap That! July Kit Reveal

I am excited to reveal to you Scrap That!'s July "Victorian Romance" Kit and it's amazing papers and embellishments. This kit is gorgeous. The papers are subtle and elegant and the embellishments are just sooo pretty. From the crocheted doileys to the heavenly Prima flowers and everything in between.

My first layout is of my son Jayden and his little friend Dailey. He hugged her and shortly there after they fell over as you can tell with the slight lean.

Here are the beautiful Prima flowers, the colors went so well with these papers. I took a pearl spray from my stash to complete my corner cluster.

The My Minds Eye Lush alphas we got were pretty, I acented them with the rub ons on top and bottom, which I thought looked quite puuurdy;)

My second layout is of me on my wedding day. I thought the color of these papers would go great with this photo, being they were cream and my dress was ivory. I cut a circle then matted it on brown cardstock, cut it with scalloped scissors, then lastly hole punched all the way around.

The butterfly I altered with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist, wanted to coordinate them to the pretty Prima blooms.

I cut the chipboard piece in 2 and altered it with the Vintage Photo Distress Stickles we got. I layered the Prima blooms on the crocheted doileys. Aren't those Caravan Prima blooms gorgeous!?

Here is my latest project. I bought this beautiful off white shadow box frame from my LSS and thought I could so use it for one of my projects with these papers.

The bracket shape is a chipboard piece we got in the kit, I covered it with some of the pp and used the Prima lace all around it. Stamped my quote in it, embellished my corner and tada I have a nice little decor piece for the day that I finally have a scrappy room hahaha.

Be sure to head over to Scrap That!'s Community Gallery to check out the rest of the design teams beautiful projects! Also be sure to stop by Scrap That! to be one of the first to get your hands on this kit!!! You won't want to miss out!

Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting.
Have a GREAT weekend!

Scrap That! July Kit Sneak Peek

Ok ladies here's a sneak peek of Scrap That!'s beautiful July kit. It's a wonderful collage of sneak peeks from all the DTs designs..I'm so anxious for the entire reveal! Can't wait to see what everyone made!!

Stay tuned, on the 26th is our reveal day!! That's just a few days away!

Have a great Monday!

{Scrap-book-ish} DT Class Layout

These are the 2 layouts I created for my LSS design team, Scrap-book-ish. I was oober excited to make these as I chose the 2 lines=) I will be teaching these in the store for the month of July.

Here's the first:
I Adore You

The beautiful papers are from My Mind's Eye Meadowlark "Dusk". I had been eye balling them lol and thinking hmmm I should do something with these! ...and so I did=) I cut a circle from the damask and put a script pp behind it to show thru. Did alittle stitching, but of course!

The red roses are handmade using cardstock, hadn't made these in a while and thought I'd do it in red to give the B&W layout a splash of color.

Here's the 2nd layout:
That Smile

This photo was taken a few days ago and I absolutely love it! Her eyes speak a million words and THAT SMILE just melts my heart. She is so beautiful to me...perfect in every way.

This entire layout is The Girls Paperie "Paper Girl Collection". These papers are the cutest! Ok let me tell you, I am not so great tying nice bows and this one took me FOREVER to get just right! lol..it was about 10 at night and my daughter was passed out like a rockstar and I couldn't tie the stupid bow on my own(I KEPT TRYING!!!) so I went into her room and used her little wrist while she was crashed and TADA!!..here's my bow!

I handmade the flowers using fabric(I will post a tutorial on these flowers soon, so keep an eye out). The pink ones were to bright a pink, so I glimmer misted them with Vintage Pink GM and then they were perfectly coordinated with the papers.=) I used buttons from this collection to embellish the center.

The dressform was in the Paper Girl clear stamp set, I dressed it up with tulle, a couple punched out flowers and a pearl necklace=)

Well that is all for today. Thank you so much for stopping by and visiting.
Happy Father's Day to all the daddys out there!

My Minds Eye Blog Challenge 12

My Mind's Eye has their blog challenge up again! This time we were given a sketch that was simplistic with very clean lines.

The photo was taken at a good friend's Donna's house, and the first thing my little boy did was find her son's cars. He lives, sleeps, breathes cars!

Papers used on this layout came from My Mind's Eye Quite Contrary "Little Boy Blue" and "Little Miss Muffet". I slightly rotated the sketch and moved the title down. I used alittle bit of burlap to add a contrast color as well as texture. LOVE THAT STUFF!

Thank you all for stopping by!

Happy Endings

As soon as I saw the Graphic 45 "Le Romantique" papers, I knew exactly what photo I would be using them for. These papers ar sooo gorgeous!

The book page idea came from Gabrielle, an amazingly talented scrapper. I felt the layout was blending in with itself too much, so I used a book page to add a splash of a different color, worked perfect because the title of the book is Happy Endings, which remained my title.=)

I finally got my hands on some Dusty Attic, such beautifully cut chipboard. I thought the chandelier would add an elegant touch. I inked it with some chalk ink, inked the edges brown, and lastly glammed it up alittle with stickles.

Ok first off a huge thanks to Angelica, she custom made this pin to match these papers for me. She did a perfect job! Thank you so so much! Be sure to check out her Etsy Shop, she has so mane gorgeous little goodies there. I chose to just use one large Prima flower and accent it with fancy cutwork from one of the pps, I didn't want to take away from the papers itself. So I kept it more simple. I finished off my cluster with some beautiful Zva pearls.

The photo is courtesy of Marisa Oldham Photography, an absolutely amazing photographer. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for having captured the memories of my special day in the way she did.
Thank you for visiting having a look.
Have a great Sunday!
