*Stuck?! Sketch Reveal*--September 1st

Already time to reveal the September 1st Stuck?! Sketch...holy cow did August fly by!!
Well here is the sketch:

And my take on it.
I had bought these Cosmo Cricket "Fleuriste" papers a while back and finally brought them out to play with. Love the distressed look to them and the colors are gorgeous.

I altered the Dusty Attic piece with some Tattered Leather glimmer mist...it's going to be a sad sad day soon...my bottle is almost empty!!

The large flower was a left over Prima bloom from my Sept. Scrap That! Kit...the butterfly same. left over from a prevous kit, just altered it some Olive Vine glimmer mist so it would better coordinate.

My World

I haven't been tending to my blog all that much lately, there's been a change in my life=) I was offered a position at a Pediatrics Office..and I am in! Meaning I work full time now(as a Medical Assistant)...going from staying at home to working FT..I am still tring to find balance between everything else in my life and this new change. I love it though...very much needed! And so blessed to be able to work there, it's a wonderful office.

Anyway enough of that, I am here to share another layout I made using the gorgeous September Scrap That! "Butterfly Dreams" kit.
This layout is based off the sketch that came with the kit, that was created by our wonderfully talented sketch artist, LG Belarmino. I loved the soft, girly Lush papers from MME.

The scalloped frame came with the kit, I altered it with the awesome Crackle Paint we got as well. It gave it such a neat effect.

Who doesn't love Zva bling and Prima flowers?? The smaller flowers I made with a flower punch..which I shall be posting a tutorial for that sometime next week=) f you look closely at the medium handmade flowers, you'll see I lightly added some of Scrap That!'s signature technique item....distress stickles!

It's not too late to get yourself a kit!! So stop by here and pick one up!

Have a great day!
It's raining in my neck of the woods! yay! Great time to sit down and create something :P...yes I'll do that!

Scrap That! September Kit Reveal Day!!

It's reveal day yet again for the September Scrap That! "Butterfly Dreams" Kit. It is wow!!...absolutely gorgeous. Had soooo much fun playing with this one! From their gorgeous My Minds Eye papers to the bling..to the pretty blooms, it was all so beautiful and girly.

Here is my 1st layout with this kit.
The photo was taken by my 6 yr old daughter in Couer' D Alene, ID this summer. Fell in love with this picture as soon as I saw it.

Look at that gorgeous lace/pearl trim...GORGEOUS! We got this really neat sheet of canvas snips its and that is where the little "This is our life" tag came from.

Here's a closeup of the pretty Prima blooms, the medium flowers, I sprinkled with my new BFF Diamond Dust=). For the smaller flowers, I simply used my Retro flower punch and used one of the pps and doodled on the flower=)

As for my 2nd layout...The papers are from Shabby Green Door, they look so textured yet their not..such pretty pps.

Another close ups of course of the blooms. The pink and white twisted flowers are handmade and sold in Vicky's Etsy shop, which you can find if you click HERE! The smaller blue ones were also made from my retro punch. You can also see some more of the canvas snip its in this close up.

Look at that gorgeous butterfly!! I think the alphas in this kit are my absolute fave so far!!

The kit is NOW AVAILABLE to buy!! So be sure to get your kit here before it sells out! Also take some time to check out all the other gorgeous projects with this kit from the rest of the DT, you canfind their names on the right side of my blog!!

Hope you enjoyed these layouts!
Check back tomorrow..I might have something else to show ya;)
Have a GREAT EVENING!

My take on it.

The photo is of my daughter on her first day of kindergarten! Gosh that was a hard day for me, I planned on staying with her the day and as soon as she got into her class she says "Mom, you can go home." I was on the verge of tears, she's growing up so fast!

All pps are Prima "Watercolor Rainbow" along with the patterned flowers.

Head on over to Stuck?! for all the other wonderful takes on this sketch from the Creative Team!!

Bonus Sketch 1 **Stuck?! Sketches**

I personally think my hubby should go out of town more often, I am rockin' and rollin' on my scrapbooking. It's great!

This layout was inspired by Stuck?! Sketches Bonus Sketch 1.

This is Jayden and his little cousin from my hubby's side. This was taken on our family vaca last week. We were floating down a river in Coeur D' Alene, ID. My first time going in an inflated raft and hoping for the best lol. I had fun. It was towards the end of the afternoon that the temp dropped and it got alittle nippy for the little ones, so she grabbed a towl and wrapped herself and Jay in it. It was the cutestsite.

Papers used in this one all from Basic Grey "Ambrosia". I'm not one to use orange for scrapping, BY ANY MEANS, but this collection just jumped at me, it's mean in my stash for a while and so I finally used it.

For the title, I painted it with acrylic paint, then litghtly stamped it w/ a script stamp and fnished it off with my little bottle of heaven, Diamond Dust. First time working with that stuff, it is awesome! If you don't have some, you should definitely get some! You can buy it here, plus check out all her beautiful handmade embellies, this girl has skills! :p

Be sure to give that sketch a try and enter it into the contest over at Stuck?!. The winner will receive a $10 voucher from What is Old is New Kits.
K off to play with my Sept. Scrap That! kit...yay for me! I think I'm going to spread it all out on the floor and do the happy wiggle in it first though..this kit is G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S.

Til next time...

Snapshot

Here's my next layout...This is a recent photo of my studdly little man, he looks so grown! He has so many moments were he is so deep in thought..and I wonder what are those thoughts that go flying thru little head...if only I could hear it.

I had bought these Bo Bunny "Mama-razzi" papers a while back and had been wanting to use them but didn't have the right picture for them, well til this photo came along. I love the rich dark tones to this collection. Will def be doing another layout with these.
Lots of layering and rub ons on this one.

The stamp quote is from a Tim Holtz stamp collection, he's got some of the neatest quotes.

The fleur de lis is stamped on one of the Bo Bunny pp scraps I had, I simply embellished it with a few pearls so that it would'nt stand out alittle more against everything else.

Now back to finishing my other layout.
I get to play with my September Scrap That! kit tonight! I got it just now and oh my!! wow! It's full of shabby chic gorgeous-ness! Going to have a blast with this one!

((HUGS))
See you soon!

Family Treasures

I am back home from our family vacation and itching to get back into my scrappy routine=) Hubby is gone til Saturday so thats a whole lotta scrappy heaven time! It's been a rough past month, so lord knows I need the therapy.

Last night while the kids were fast asleep I put this together.
Some of you may recognize the photo, I posted a few wks back pictures I had taken of my son with this little car. The car belongs to my hubby's grandfather's sister who passed away a long time ago. While this little car sits on a shelf away from anybodys touch, the memory has been preserved in this layout.

The papers are all G45. I brought out my Zutter Distress It All to quickly distress all my edges, I forget how much I love that little guy, he makes distressing so easy.

Since the little car is brass, I was super excited to see I still had some brass Tim Holtz embellishments. They made this whole layout look so much more vintage..perfect touch!

Hope you all enjoyed this.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Off to finish my next layout=)

More from Scrap That! August Kit {Part2}

I just fell in love with my Scrap That! August kit that I couldn't sit there and stare at all this stuff I STILL had after having made 3 layouts...so I made 2 more!! Goes to show that this kit is JAM PACKED with beautiful papers and embellishments.

The photo in this layout is that of my son and a good friend's daughter. Just love it! I did quite a bit of stamping on this one, the script and also the stone like stamp on the paper behind the blue paper. Check out that GORGEOUS Prima bling swirl.

The blooms are handmade from cardstock(a tutorial to follow soon). I glimmer misted the large bloom with Tattered Leather. The centers all came from my stash. Fell in love with those Jenni Bowlin pins...they's so fabulously vintage.

Check this gorgeous lace trim...psst!!! came in the kit! B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!! I glimmer misted the alphas with Tattered Leather..to match the colors of the layout.

This one is featuring the Girls Paperie Collection. The photo is of my daughter Nikki showing off her NEW smile! She finally lost her first tooth and was sooo excited about it.

Here's a closeup of SOME of the flowers that come in the kit, they match the paper collection so perfectly. Along with the cute pearls and flourish bling

Also included is a bottle of Liquid Pearls...absolutely loved this little guy! You can see a little peek of green showing thru, it's part of this VERY neat green fishnet like trim we got. (Scrap That! put together a GREAT ribbon kit for this months kit)..a must have addition for this kit, they are perfect for the papers.

Well hope you enjoyed all these layouts.
If you haven't already, be sure to head over to Scrap That! to to get your kit. Its full of pretties!
You won't be let down..PROMISE!

Have a great day.
Thank you for visiting!!

**Stuck?! Sketch Reveal**-August 1st

Here is the reveal of the August 1st sketch, courtesy of Stuck?! Sketches.

Here is what I did with it. I rather enjoyed this one alot for the fact that it amde me work out of my usual and include some negative space on my layout..which NEVER happens. =)

All pps are from My Mind's Eye "So Sophie".

I actually did some journaling on this one! Ain't that a miracle!! On my screen it doesn't look all that legible so the journaling reads:
You have the most heavenly eyes, an amazing smile, the cutest dimples and the kindest heart. Your beauty amazes me.

As you can see, I had to work in my Prima flower cluster somehow. ;)

Give the sketch a try!
Also be sure to stop by Stuck?! Sketches to get inspiration from the rest of the Creative Team's take on this sketch.
Have a great day!
